The star-studded WTA 1000 event in Dubai kicks off next week, headlined by reigning world #1 Iga Swiatek along with the tour’s fiercest rising talents. As the stacked field battles in the desert, intriguing projected paths await for Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and recent Aussie Open champ Elena Rybakina.
After an opening round bye, top seed Swiatek could face feisty former #1 Victoria Azarenka in her 2023 tour debut. Plotting for a return to the Dubai final four years later, expect Azarenka to come out firing versus the world’s top player.
