Murray vs. Berrettini: Battle of Experience Opens Miami Open

Playing styles and prediction

After a seven month absence Berrettini returned to the tour at the Pheonix Challenger as he looks to rebuild his ranking. The Italian exceeded his own expectations by reaching the final in Pheonix and will now hope there are better things to come as a deep run in Miami could see him enter Roland Garros without needing his protected ranking.

Murray will look to be aggressive on serve as he will search for his forehand in order to be aggressive and neutralize Berrettini’s backhand. Meanwhile the Italian will aim to keep up his impressive serving by using the angles to limit Murray’s options from the baseline. This should be a tough match for Murray but the Italian’s lack of match fitness may prove costly here especially after a long week in Arizona.
