Matteo Berrettini will continue his come-back at the Grand Prix Hassan in Marrakesh, one of the first ATP Tournaments on clay.
Berrettini lost to Portugal’s Nuno Borges in the final at the ATP Challenger in Phoenix and lost to Andy Murray in three sets in a blockbuster first-round match at the Masters 1000 in Miami. The Italian player, who reached the Wimbledon final in 2021, will face either Jaume Munar or Luca Van Assche in the first round.
Roberto Carballes Baena won last year’s edition of the Marrakesh tournament after beating Alexandre Muller in the final.
Carballes Baena has been drawn in the same section as number 3 seed Dan Evans, Arthur Rinderknech and Facundo Diaz Acosta.
Sebastian Ofner features in the bottom half. The Austrian player will make his debut against either Aleksandar Vukic and Alexandre Muller.
Top seed Laslo Djere will take on either Frenchman Hugo Gaston or a qualifier in the second round.
Flavio Cobolli has been drawn in the same half as Djere. Cobolli will play against Jordan’s Abdullah Shelbayh in a first round match between two players, who took part at the 2023 Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka will play against Albert Ramos Vinolas in the opening round. The winner of this match will face either Aziz Dougaz or Mariano Navone.
Corentin Moutet will clash against India’s Sumit Nagal. The winner of this match will face Lorenzo Sonego.
