Grealish is known for his trendsetting looks

Jack Grealish has been handed a rather unlikely award.

The football ace, 28, is known for lifting trophies on and off the pitch but his latest award is one that not many would have expected him to win. The Birmingham-born midfielder is known both on and off the pitch for his lavish lifestyle and partying antics, as well as jaw-dropping looks.

Now Jack has been crowned the footballer who has the most attractive hairstyle according to industry experts. Grealish was awarded the gong in the domestic category for his famous undercut and slicked-back locks. Grealish’s locks certainly impressed judges in the Estenove Soccer Players’ Hairstyle of the Year awards following his recent image overhaul.

Meanwhile, in the international category, AC Milan legend Olivier Giroud was crowned for his ‘disconnected pompadour with drop fade’ hairstyle. His classic sweep and voluminous locks saw France’s all-time highest goalscorer saw the ace come out on top thanks to his style which was named after the 18th Century noblewoman Madame de Pompadour

Pompadour had previously been a mistress to King Louis XV of France and famously kept her tresses swept off of her face. Speaking previously about his own appearance, Giroud, 37, said: “I bring my own grooming kit to the game… Moisturiser, gel and shampoo. I like to take care of myself.”

Those judging the famous faces were dealt with a variety of hairstyles from 100 domestic as well as international players who have very different looks. Elsewhere, those in the top five included Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, who recently opened up his own hair salon in Madrid, Spain. Other names in the domestic category saw the likes of Hannibal Mejbri, Antonee Robinson, Declan Rice and Julian Albarez come out on top. Meanwhile, in the international category, Lionel Messi, Marcos Llorente and Dayne St. Clair found themselves being praised for their tresses.

“From our experience, a beautiful head of hair can transform people’s social and professional lives,” Batuhan Kizilcan, founder of hair transplant clinic Estenove, which sponsored the awards, told the Mirror. He added: “That’s why hair loss can be so devastating for people, and why it’s so important that people understand that it is now essentially a reversible condition thanks to the improvement in transplant techniques.
