Can Anyone Stop Sinner? Italian Star Rolls into Indian Wells Quarters

Italy’s Jannik Sinner sailed into the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Masters, beating powerful American Ben Shelton 7-6 (7/4) 6-1 on Tuesday.
“I think I can be really proud about how I played,” said the 22-year-old world number three, who is aiming for his third consecutive title after his triumphs at the Australian Open and in Rotterdam.
“I just tried to stay positive.

There were tough moments, especially in the first set.

I’m really happy that I won that, and obviously started really positive in the second set, which gave me a lot of confidence.” Sinner, who took his winning streak up to 18 matches, will face 32nd-seed Jiri Lehecka in the last eight.
