Novak Djokovic may dominate the tennis court, but off the court his proudest role is Dad. The Serbian star and his wife Jelena share two adorable children – a son Stefan and daughter Tara.
For the famously private Djokovic, his children are his whole world. “Being a parent is the most fulfilling and exciting thing in the world. I’m so grateful,” he shares.
Little Stefan, born in 2014, is quick to steal the spotlight from his famous father. Already wielding a tennis racquet at age 8, Stefan even has his own Instagram page with over 630k followers! His bold personality and silly antics never fail to make Djokovic smile.
As for 4-year-old Tara, she’s nicknamed “Baby Tarzan” for her energetic and fearless spirit. Djokovic calls his daughter “daddy’s little girl” and is constantly inspired by her curiosity and zest for life.
Protecting their children’s privacy is hugely important for Novak and Jelena. That’s why glimpses into their family life are so rare and precious. “The kids are my escape from tennis. We spend a lot of quality time together,” says Djokovic.
While raising two world-renowned children comes with challenges, Novak and Jelena tackle parenting as a rock-solid team. And the Djokovic kids will surely be courtside cheering their dad on to more tennis glory.
For the usually reserved Djokovic, his face lights up most when talking about Stefan and Tara. “Being a father is better than holding any trophy,” he declares. Those two little loves are definitely Djokovic’s greatest win.
