Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is garnering attention for her flawless skin on social media, where she occasionally gives fans a glimpse into her skincare routine.

It is no secret that the fashion icon credits professional-grade skincare for her enviable complexion. According to Victoria, however, devices designed to be used in the comfort of your home may be just as beneficial.

The 49-year-old frequently posts pictures of herself indulging in treatments touted in the beauty industry as the key to firm and youthful-looking skin.

One of the gadgets in her beauty regimen is the LED lamp to stimulate collagen production and reduce inflammation. The fashion designer recently shared a snap of herself indulging in the face mask on her bed, wrapped in a dressing gown from her collection.

“From LED lights to derma-planing and masking, my skincare routine is extensive! I’m wearing my signature VB Chain Robe!” read the caption of the post.

Some LED Mask treatments come as a gadget that rests on the face while wavelengths of light are emitted onto the skin, providing a range of skincare benefits, including anti-inflammatory effects and collagen production.

While it’s uncertain which brand Victoria prefers based on her stories, it is clear that she enjoys spending the blue light setting, which is renowned for its anti-bacterial benefits and capacity to improve skin tone and texture.

WebMD states: “Research shows blue light from electronic devices can lead to changes in your skin cells, including cell shrinkage death.

“These speed up the aging process. Even exposures as short as 60 minutes can trigger these changes.”

The health body warns that over-exposing the skin to blue LED light can lead to pigmentation.
